Bites, bites, bites!
I’m so sick of being the menu for all things that fly and bite :worked_till_5am: I’m itching from morning until night, and sometimes through the night. The amount of bites I have puts my off applying loads of antihistamine.
Any natural recommendations to discourage them biting me and for anti itch remedies? Please.

Lavender essential oil is very good at calming an itch from a bite.

Have you tried your own spit (saliva)? I don’t know how this works, but it seems to take the intense itch out:thumb

This is a bit of a weird one, but it seems to work, its called 'Swedish Bitters' you can buy it from herbalists, some specialist health food shops or online.
put some on a cotton pad or ball and wipe over the affected area, this will take out the itch. it works.

I very rarely get bitten whereas my poor sister gets eaten alive so I wonder if it is because I take an antihistamine every evening so the bugs don’t like the taste of me!

Peppermint oil is really good to prevent insect bites but the downside is you smell like toothpaste!

Why is it some people get bitten and others don’t? I wonder if it’s some sort of scent we give off :jb:
