    Wales appear slightly confused

I recently read an article suggesting that Wales was set to allow children aged 16 and above to vote in the local Government elections, a move I am not altogether happy with for many reasons I won't go into.

Today I read an article to say that Wales bans tongue and intimate piercings for under 18's http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-42872192

Which is it Wales, are 16 year olds old enough to make informed decisions or not? I think they are sending out the wrong messages.

It does seem rather stupid, I suppose the decision makers see it as protecting the under 18’s.

This is a bit like the mind set in America, whereas you can legally own a gun at the age of 16, but you can't buy a pint of beer until you are 18. Crazy!
