The effects of fluoride to our health
.

Fluoride affects all the tissues in the body, not just our teeth. Contrary to what we are led to believe fluoride offers very little benefit to our health.
There are two types of fluoride, calcium fluoride and sodium fluoride. Calcium fluoride is found naturally in underground water resources and derives from natural filtration from rocks, it is considered less harmful than its counterpart. Sodium fluoride is a waste product from fertilizer, aluminium and nuclear industries, it is often added to water supplies, which is a highly controversial practice.

Fluoride is an endocrine disruptor affecting the brain, bones, thyroid and pineal gland. This toxic synthetic chemical carries aluminium across the blood brain barrier, which is linked to a lower IQ and Alzheimer's. Other health problems from long term exposure can lead to kidney and liver damage, muscle disorders, bone fractures, arthritis, genetic damage, cancer, disrupted immune system and cell death.

It has been suggested that any benefit to the teeth will come from a topical application and not through consuming water, foods or products with added fluoride. Teeth can show signs of over exposure to fluoride in the form of dental fluorosis. See picture below.

It is fair to say that if the teeth are showing signs of over exposure to fluoride then the rest of the body is affected, such as your bones, internal organs and brain.

Fluoride exposure can accumulate through the use of toothpaste, mouthwash and ingestion of medication, tap water and pesticides, insecticides and fungicides. Here is a great video enlightening us on the dangers of over exposure to fluoride.
