This balm may help to relieve the pain from swollen joints caused by arthritis and inflammation. Just rub onto the after joint throughout the day, as required. Steer clear of broken skin.

    30mls of Savoy cabbage juice
60 mls of organic raw coconut oil
    20g beeswax
30 drops of peppermint essential oil
30 drops of Rosemary essential oil

Put the oil and beeswax in a glass bowl and place over a pan of water to heat gently, stir the mixture occasionally, just until the wax melts.
Take off the heat and allow to cool, just as a skin is starting to appear on the surface of the oils, add the essential oils and cabbage juice, mix well.
Pour the mixture into sterilised dark glass bottles and allow to cool before putting the lid on.

Would you not get the same benefits from eating cabbage?

I don't think you do from the cooked cabbage, although I think I read somewhere that fresh juiced cabbage may offer some benefits, I think you'd have to see how you get on, sometimes cabbage can be quite harsh on some delicate stomachs.

Is this really a thing? How does cabbage applied to your skin ease joint pain?

This is crazy! But it is so ridiculous, I feel compelled to try it!

I am finding it harder to get up and down these days as my heels and hips seem to lock up. I’m not sure I would like to smell of cabbage but definitely worth a try

I noticed the recipe says beeswax, does this solidify on your skin?

By the time you have bought the ingredients you will be suffering from a headache due to the cost!

This is a wonderful natural remedy for joint pain but the ingredients are quite costly if you have short term joint pain but worth the investment if it’s a long term illness.
