    Dates only ever come out at Christmas in my house but they are readily available in supermarkets throughout the year so I do need to add some to my diet as they are delicious and obviously packed full of nutrients

    I never liked the look of dates, they always looked dry and wrinkly, I think the Christmas dates my Nan used to have put me off. But a friend encouraged me to try medjools, wow! Completely different, soft, sweet and like caramel.

    I agree with you Wendy the ones my mum bought were wrinkled and not very appetising but today I ate a Medjools stuffed with peanut butter and it was delicious

    I honestly thought dates were only available around Christmas time but they are everywhere so I am really enjoying them all year round
