    Eucalyptus

    Indigenous to Australia and used medicinally by the Aborigines. Eucalyptus is now cultivated globally from North Africa to California, as well as Australia. The oil, which is extracted by steam distillation of the leaves and young twigs, is a common ingredient in decongestants.
    Eucalyptus has strong medicinal and Camphor smell, with slight woody undertones.

    I love the smell of eucalyptus, it really is uplifting. I tens to use my essential oil in my diffuser or I add it too a carrier oil such as coconut oil and use it to deter the gnats in the summer.
