Ginger
An extremely popular herb with well researched therapeutic properties. The essential oil is steam distilled from the fleshy root of the ginger plant.

The oils colour can vary from pale yellow to dark amber, the scent is a delicious warm, spicy, woody scent, with hints of lemon and pepper.

Helps to boost circulation, bringing warmth to the applied area. It is said that Ginger can ease muscle pain.

when massaged into temples the anti-inflammatory action can ease some types of migraine and headache pain.

Helps relieve nervous fatigue and confusion.

Immunity
Ginger has anti-viral properties that can help prevent and treat colds and sore throats as well as clear congestion.


Digestion
Ginger is known to calm and tone the digestive system, with specific benefits seen in the treatment of nausea due to morning sickness and motion sickness.


Flu and Fever
Ginger encourages the body to produce heat and sweat and throw off fevers.

Massage, foot bath, diffusion or inhalation

Blends well with: Cedarwood, Coriander, Frankincense, Juniper, Palmarosa, Sandalwood, Vetiver and all citrus oils.


Safety:
Can cause irritation. Do not use undiluted on skin or in baths.

I never think of essential oils as a way to improve health, I always think of them as something to put into my diffuser to make the room smell nicer :doh
